Hi Jens,

I haven't seen this implemented too often - sometimes just in passing. These are fairly new tactics, and as such haven't been used all that much to date.

I had a quick look back through my archive of landing pages and was able to find an example where there was alive Twitter stream included with the ability to follow.

Great post, Oli, lots of good ideas.

Do you have any examples of sites that are using twitter in the ways you suggest?

Brilliant Keith. Thanks for sharing the idea.

I'll be putting a long form article together shortly that combines these ideas with some ways of promoting and measuring your landing page success with Twitter.

I'll be exploring this idea further, it's an exciting model.

A technique you can use is to have people "register" for something by tweeting something from the landing page, then showing the tweets right on the landing page. You have to have a good offer, but if you do than you have people tweeting about you (you can follow them and get followed in return) and driving their followers to the landing page and twitter offer. It can spread like wildfire, and because the landing page shows all this activity in a tweet box, that is the "trust factor" you need to get people to tweet about it.
