HOW TO: Connect Your Lead Gen Forms to Flowtown

What is Flowtown?

Flowtown lets you turn an Email Address into a Social Profile. When you capture your customers email address using an Unbounce lead-gen form, you can integrate with Flowtown to receive a name, age, gender, occupation, location and all of the social networks that person is on.

Step 1 – Setting up your lead gen form on Unbounce

On your Unbounce lead-gen form, you must have a field containing the word “email” (case doesn’t matter). Examples that will work include “Email Address”, “Email”, “Your Email Address”. “E-mail”, “Electronic mail”, “mail” will not work.

Step 2 – Making the connection to Flowtown

To connect your lead-gen form to Flowtown, visit the “Lead-Gen Form Results” area on your landing page overview screen (below the A/B Test Centre) and click the Configure Flowtown link.

Then head over to Flowtown to retrieve your account details (you’ll need to create a web form on Flowtown and grab the info from the Webhook Settings panel). Simply plug the URL and Handshake Key into the form as shown below and you’ll start seeing your new Unbounce leads (and all their social details) appearing in your Flowtown account.
