TARGET LEADS BY LOCATION

THE CONCEPT

With this geo-targeting approach, first you’ll build a landing page for your offer, then you’ll use Unbounce's Dynamic Text Replacement                       to automatically change your page’s headline text to include the location of your page visitor.

The benefit of this type of landing page is having a location-specific message for each place or state you do business in. When folks click through to your landing page, they’ll immediately see you offer services in their city or state and will be more likely to convert.

WHY IT'S GREAT

As an example, if someone searches Google for “Dental Insurance in Texas”, your landing page’s headline text can swap out to read: “Get Reliable Dental Insurance in Texas” (or Arizona, Michigan, Colorado, etc.).

If you create a landing page like this, you can clone the initial page for each region you’d like to target and have a unique URL for tracking each location’s performance. If you duplicate your first page per location, you can also include location-specific images — going beyond the targeted text of your headline.

This example features EzBind Insurance's landing page, built by agency Titan PPC.

ALREADY A STRONG DESIGNER?

about how to translate your Photoshop file into Unbounce.

The more you can break down [your service] the better. With a plumber example, we would ask [our] client "What cities do you service?" We’d then build campaigns featuring those cities. I.e. we’d create a Vancouver-specific page, then Richmond, West Vancouver, etc.

We duplicate the pages to have a unique URL for each city in our Unbounce account, link all the [PPC] ads to their corresponding landing page, and then confidently know the traffic is going to "x" URL. This way we can view and segment the conversion rates per location in seconds (versus sending all the traffic to a singular page using DTR). It's much harder to get a quick snapshot of which cities are killing it, and which need some love, if you don’t use unique URLs in this use case.
